Scan a document with the camera, import a file from Apple's Files app, or use another app's Share/Open In action and choose PDF Reader. Allow camera access only if you want to scan.

Yes. Basic reading, scanning, annotation and signing are available in the free app. Some advanced tools require PDF Pro or have daily and total free-use limits. The app shows the relevant access or purchase information before you continue.

Check that your device uses the Apple Account used for the purchase, connect to the internet, then open PDF Reader Settings and choose Restore Purchases. The subscription screen also includes Restore.

An active verified subscription should show PDF Reader Pro in Settings. When Apple no longer verifies an active entitlement, including any applicable Billing Grace period, the app returns to Free. If an active plan still does not appear after restoring, email support with the app version, iOS version and a redacted screenshot of the issue. Do not send Apple Account credentials.

Open iOS Settings, tap your Apple Account name, then Subscriptions. Select PDF Reader and follow Apple's cancellation options. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Plans renew automatically unless canceled before renewal under Apple's displayed terms. Trial eligibility, duration, price and billing details are shown by the app and Apple's purchase confirmation. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends if you do not want it to convert to a paid plan, following Apple's cancellation guidance. Refund requests are handled by Apple at Report a Problem.

Where offered, PDF Pro has Weekly, Monthly and Yearly subscriptions. Prices, introductory offers and eligibility depend on your App Store account and storefront; use the price and terms displayed before purchase. PDF Pro is not currently offered in Vietnam. The free app remains available.

Private AI questions and summaries require iOS 26 or later, an Apple Intelligence-compatible device and Apple Intelligence enabled and available. Device and language support vary, and required models may need to finish downloading. The rest of the app supports iOS 18 or later.

AI output can be inaccurate. Check important information against the original pages.

A scan may contain images rather than selectable text. Use OCR to make the document searchable, then try text search or Read Aloud again. OCR quality depends on page clarity, lighting and language. Password-protected or app-locked documents have additional privacy restrictions.

Documents are stored locally in PDF Reader. Check the app's Recycle Bin for recently deleted documents. Trashed items are eligible for automatic cleanup after 30 days when the app runs.

We do not keep a server copy of your library and cannot remotely recover it. Check any copies you exported and your device backups. Export important documents before uninstalling the app or troubleshooting by deleting app data.

PDF Reader's editing tools let you add highlights, notes, drawings, text annotations and signatures, and manage pages. This is not a promise that every PDF's original body text can be rewritten like a word-processing document. Supported Office, iWork and text files can be converted to PDF; PDF-to-Word export is not advertised.
